WANTED: RECORD OR SHEET MUSIC OF A
SONG
Mom learned this from a record, probably around 1917. Think
the title is "Cross My Heart and Hope to Die" - maybe on the Bluebird
label. First line- 'There's something mighty wrong with me, I grew on someone's
lemon tree. I'm just the most unlucky kid, accused of things I never did.' Also,
'Cross my heart and hope to die if I ever, ever told a lie' is repeated through
out the song.
